Wasserman Park Conservation Area

This facility is located in the center of Merrimack, behind the Merrimack Public Library and next to the First Congregational Church of Merrimack – near the intersection of Daniel Webster Highway and Baboosic Lake Road. It offers a unique, comfortable and fully-appointed setting where you can host a variety of different functions or events. The building is also equipped with a kitchen and air-conditioning that can be used during events.

ABBIE GRIFFIN PARK GAZEBO

The Gazebo at Abbie Griffin Park is a beautiful spot to host wedding or other outdoor events. To reserve the Gazebo at Abbie Griffin Park interested parties must fill out therental application form and submit it to the Parks and Recreation Department for approval. There is no fee associated with renting the Gazebo but please be sure to review the parks rules and regulations to make sure it will work for your event. 

Rules & Regulations:

  • Park Hours: 9:00 am to one- half hour past sunset 
  • No glass containers, alcoholic beverages, or firearms 
  • All animals must be leased or caged 
  • Nails and/or tacks are prohibited at the bandstand, any decorations must be tied or taped. 
  • Area must be left as clean as it was found 
  • No bathrooms at this park. Groups wishing to have bathroom for their event are responsible for renting their own porta potties and having them removed at the conclusion of the event. 
  • Depending on the number of participants and type of event, you may be required, at your expense to arrange for police presence at your event.

  • Absolutely no alcohol.
  • No smoking.
  • No profane language.
  • Pets must remain on a leash at all times, except for when they are inside the Dog Park at Wasserman Park.
  • No glass bottles.
  • Children under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult.
  • No littering.
  • No Off-road vehicles.
  • No person may occupy, remain, stay, or loiter upon any Park prior to 1/2 hour before sunrise or until 1/2 hour after sunset
  • No person shall discharge firearms in any park, except Horsehill Nature Preserve as posted.
  • Fires are permitted in designated areas only.
  • The Wasserman Park Town Beach shall be for the exclusive use of Merrimack residents. Non-resident visitors are permitted to use the area only when accompanied by a Merrimack resident or have the appropriate parking pass affixed to their vehicle. Passes shall consist of either a valid Merrimack Facility Pass or rear view mirror placard. Parking for the Wasserman Park Beach shall only be allowed in the parking lot adjacent to the Parks and Recreation office. Signs will identify the parking lot.

This facility is located in the center of town at, 441 Daniel Webster Highway, down the road from the Merrimack Fire Department. The pavilion is a great space to host weddings, birthday parties, or other seasonal outdoor events. Interested parties must fill out the Watson Park Pavilion Rental Application and submit it to the Parks & Recreation Department for approval. There is no fee associated with renting the pavilion but please be sure to review the parks rules and regulations to make sure it will work for your event. 

Rules & Regulations: 

  • Rental is for the Pavilion Area only and does not allow for exclusive use of Watson Park. 
  • Park Hours: One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hours after sunrise 
  • No glass containers, alcoholic beverages, and firearms 
  • Nails and/ or tacks are prohibited at the Pavilion, any decorations must be tired or taped. 
  • Applicant is responsible for cleaning up and disposing of trash generated by the rental.
  • ​There is one Porta Potty available at Watson Park. 
  • Depending on the number of participants and type of event, you may be required, at your own expense, to arrange for police detail at your event. 

Located within Wasserman Park at 116 Naticook Road, the Wasserman Park Function is a "Camp Style" building that is now available for private rentals. This is a great space to have birthday parties, retirement parties, host a summer BBQ get together with co-workers, have a wedding reception, and so much more!    


Rentals are available 7 days per week between 7:00 am – 11:00 pm. Parks & Recreation Department activities have priority use of the building. All other rentals are on a first-come first-serve basis based upon availability. The building is equipped with a new heating system, bathrooms and a kitchen that can be rented for an additional fee.

Depot Street Boat Ramp
The Depot Street Boat Ramp provides carry-in boating and fishing access to the Merrimack River. The boat ramp is also the site of 
Reeds Ferry,one of the two ferries that was active in Merrimack during the Colonial period. It was also the site of a Boston and Maine Railroad depot.

Horseshoe Pond Boat Ramp
The Horseshoe Pond boat ramp, located on Island Drive, has trailer launched or carry-in boating. Horseshoe Pond is an ox-bow pond, created when the Merrimack River changed course and sediment buildup cut it off from the main channel of the river.

Veterans Memorial Park Boat Ramp
This boat ramp, located at the main entrance to 
Veterans Memorial Park, has trailer launched or carry-in boating access to Naticook Lake. No person shall operate a motorboat at a speed exceeding 10 MPH on Naticook Lake in Merrimack.
