Join us on Wednesday Nights this summer for our Free Annual Summer Concert Series at Abbie Griffin Park. Concerts will be held weekly from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and will feature a variety of musical performances including Oldies, Swing, Rhythm & Blues & Classic Rock music and more to fill the air! Don’t forget to bring your family & friends, blankets & chairs, & dinner to enjoy this free concert series.

JUNE 27TH - NEVER EASY BAND

Never Easy is a unique, fun band performing a mix of New & Old Country music, with a "hint" of Classic Rock & Roll.   Experienced musicians from different venues unite to create a sound second to none. The magic vocal harmonies of  Stephanie, Robert, Mike, & Vinnie will amaze you.  Our music will have you tapping your feet and jumping up to dance.  


JULY 11TH - THE REMINISANTS
Back by popular demand, we welcome back The Reminisants! Known as one of Boston’s best oldies bands, The Reminisants have been entertaining audiences of all ages throughout New England since 1973. The band specializes in music from the 1950’s through the 1990’s, playing a collection of great music for all kinds of musical tastes and generations.


JULY 18TH - BEDFORD BIG BAND

The Bedford Big Band is a traditional swing/big band performing the hits of the 1930s and 40s including Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and more!  With amazing vocals and fabulous instrumentalists, the Bedford Big Band is a real crowd pleaser who will be celebrating their 20th season in 2018.

JULY 25TH -
BRICKYARD BLUES
Since 1997, Brickyard Blues has been evolving its sound and building a following on stages in New England. We mix influences including Texas & Chicago Blues, Stax-era soul music, old-school R&B, with some roots & rockabilly thrown in. 2006 marked the release of the bands 9 original song CD “Naughty”. In addition to getting airplay on radio stations throughout New England, their original song, Alabama Blues Man, was picked as the Favorite Blues Song at radio stations in Orlando Florida, and Warsaw, Indiana, and has even been featured on a radio station in Belgium that showcases American roots-rock music. It's R&B plus a whole lot more. 


AUGUST 1ST - RON ESKIN'S TRIBUTE SHOW TO NEIL DIAMOND
Ron Eskin has been thrilling Neil Diamond fans with his sound-alike tribute shows throughout New England for almost twenty years, bringing the excitement of a live Neil Diamond stage performance to function halls, homes, stadiums, and outdoor bandstands, for private parties as well as for shows open to the public.

AUGUST 8TH - STUDIO TWO: BEATLES TRIBUTE BAND

Returning to Merrimack after a two year hiatus; Studio Two is a headlining Beatles band that pays tribute to the early Beatles years, choosing songs from the pre-Sgt. Pepper era.  Featuring graduates from Berklee College of Music and Beatles devotees, Studio Two band mates met in a “cellar full of noise” in a town slightly west of Liverpool (Milford, New Hampshire!) to pay homage to the greatest rock band of all time.   Band members are experienced musicians of today’s generation dedicated to preserving the memory and fan culture of The Beatles generation. By recreating the Fab Four’s music, appearance, instruments, and onstage banter, Studio Two performs your most favorite hits that will bring people to the dance floor


AUGUST 15TH - KOLIBA
Koliba is an exciting Afro Pop band featuring musicians from West Africa who teach audiences African songs and dances.  Much of the music is original and rooted in traditional African rhythms and styles. Leader Mohammad Kalifa Kamara from Guinea West Africa is a Master drummer and dancer and through Koliba's music and dance audiences are transported to Africa. Koliba has performed at Cambridge River Festival, First Nights in Boston Worcester, Providence and Boston Arts Festival.  This concert is Co-Sponsored by the Merrimack Public Library in conjunction with the end of their summer reading program.


INCLEMENT WEATHER?
In the event of Inclement Weather on the day of a concert; check the status of the concert by going to our Facebook Page or the Parks & Recreation website. A decision will generally be posted by 1:00 pm whether the concert will be held that day or postponed until later in the season. We will also send a message out via our Email Newsletter regarding the status of the Concert
