

The Town of Merrimack, Parks & Recreation Department is looking to hire some dynamic and energetic staff to work at Camp this summer.
Countless individuals fall in love with the camp experience each summer, and many make it part of their lives year after year. Campers remember their counselors for many summers and often return because of them. Positions are Mondays - Fridays and a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Come and join the Town of Merrimack for the 34th Annual Easter Egg Hunt which returns to Wasserman Park on Saturday March 28th from 10:00 am - 11:30 am. For this year's event, we have more than 8,000 Easter eggs ready to hand out between our 5 different groups.

Registration for 2026 Plots in the Merrimack
Community Garden will open up on Wednesday, April 1st on a first come first serve basis.
The Merrimack Community Garden is located at 116 Naticook Road in Wasserman Park and is managed by the Parks & Recreation Department.
Interested participants can reserve up a maximum of 2 plots while spaces last.
2026 Garden Fee Scheduled for a 10 ft x 10 ft square plot.

Join Holt Ave Community Training Center at Merrimack Parks and Recreation for this hands-on class that equips pet owners with the essential skills to respond confidently in a pet emergency. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of distress, perform basic CPR, handle choking situations, manage wounds and injuries, and know when to seek veterinary care. Designed for dog and cat owners, this two-hour session focuses on practical, easy-to-follow techniques that can help save a pet’s life before professional care is available.

Join Merrimack Parks and Recreation and step back in time to experience the birthplace of the American Revolution as we travel by chartered bus to historic Lexington, Massachusetts, in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of independence. This two and a half hour fully guided tour brings history to life as a professional guide shares the powerful stories, people, and events that sparked the nation’s fight for independence.
Following the guided tour, relax and enjoy a reserved luncheon at the historic Wayside Inn in Sudbury, one of the oldest operating inns in the United States. Guests will enjoy a classic New England meal in a warm, colonial setting that perfectly complements the day’s historical theme.
This memorable day trip blends history, storytelling, and great food, an ideal way to commemorate this milestone anniversary while enjoying a comfortable and enriching group experience.

Come and join Merrimack Parks & Recreation and staff from the Naticook After School Program over the April School Vacation week with activities designed to keep your children busy and entertained all week long.
Children will participate in a variety of sports, games, arts & crafts projects, nature exploration, outdoor activities and much more designed to burn off some energy. A daily hot lunch is included in the cost of your tuition.
Sign up by the day or for for the entire week. Extended Care is available from 4:00 - 5:00 pm for an additional fee of $10 per day.

Boston Red Sox vs. Houston Astros Bus Trip

Soak up the rich history, hear the echoes of the past and join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department as we travel to Fenway Park. "America's Most Beloved Ballpark" is a place where dreams are made, traditions are celebrated and baseball is forever.
Traveling to Fenway Park on your own is not easy. Let us handle the transportation so you can enjoy the game. Cost of the trip is $115 per person and trip fee includes deluxe motorcoach transportation and a ticket to the game. Tickets are in the Infield Grandstand Section 22 (behind home plate)
Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 11:00 am. Game time is 1:35 pm.
* The Boston Red Sox uses digital ticketing with the MLB app and you will need a smart phone so that we can transfer the tickets to you electronically before the game.

Join Holt Ave Community Training Center at Merrimack Parks and Recreation for this three to four-hour, instructor-led Heartsaver® CPR & AED course prepares participants to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults, children, and infants. Hands-on practice builds confidence in CPR, AED use, and choking relief. Ideal for workplace training, community members, and anyone who wants to be prepared to save a life. Certification provided upon successful completion.

Join the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department on Saturday, June 6th. Trip departs from the Exit 8 Park & Ride at 6:00 am and we will arrive in New York City around 10:45 am where you will be dropped off at Rockefeller Center. You will have until 6:30 pm to explore the city on your own at your own pace. Trip will return to Merrimack at approximately 11:30 pm. Advanced registration is required and spaces are limited!
Trip is open to both residents & non-residents. Participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an Adult.
