

The Town of Merrimack, Parks & Recreation Department is looking to hire some dynamic and energetic staff to work at Camp this summer.
Countless individuals fall in love with the camp experience each summer, and many make it part of their lives year after year.
Campers remember their counselors for many summers and often return because of them. Positions are Mondays - Fridays (no Nights or Weekends) and a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Kick off your weekend early with the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department's free weekly Summer Concert Series on Thursday Nights at Abbie Griffin Park!
Join us each week starting at 6:00 pm for live music featuring a variety of musical styles. Come on down and bring your family & friends along with your lawn chairs, and dinner and enjoy "Thursday Night Live" each week.

Come and join the Town of Merrimack and help us to kick off the Independence Day festivities with an evening of patriotic tunes, marches, and other popular selections performed by the Merrimack Concert Association.
The Merrimack Concert Association will be selling Root Beer Floats during the concert as a fundraiser for the Merrimack Concert Association and so we hope that you will support them.
The event will be held at Abbie Griffin Park which is located behind Merrimack Town Hall at 6 Baboosic Lake Road. In the event of rain or thunderstorms, the concert will be moved indoors to Merrimack High School.

Salute to Independence – USA 250th Celebration Parade

The Town of Merrimack's Annual 4th of July Parade is organized by the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department and is one of the largest Independence Day Parades in the State of New Hampshire. The parade features a wide range of bands, militia units, clowns, local businesses, community organizations and more.
NEW PARADE ROUTE FOR 2026
This year, the Parade route will be flipped from its traditional direction and will run in reverse. New for this year, parade participants will line up along O’Gara Drive, with the official starting point located near the Skateboard Park.
When the Parade begins, it will turn right onto Baboosic Lake Road and head toward the center of Town. The route will then take a left onto Daniel Webster Highway, traveling past the Post Office, before turning right onto Front Street. The Parade will conclude in the Commons Shopping Plaza parking lot near Tractor Supply. The total parade route is 1.1 miles in length.

We are excited to announce that Atlas PyroVision Productions, Inc. has been contracted this year to put on our SPECTACULAR fireworks display which will be in a new location this year at the Kollsman Athletic Fields located at 220 Daniel Webster Highway with a bigger better show this year.
Parking will be available at 220 Daniel Webster Highway as well as a Shuttle Bus from the Merrimack Premium Outlets.
Entertainment: DJ Darren Roy will be playing music from 5:00 - 9:00pm. Come and get a good seat for the fireworks and enjoy some family friendly music.
Food: There will be a variety of food trucks setup in the parking lot from 5:00 - 9:00pm for attendees wanting to purchase food, drinks, ice cream and more.

The Camp Naticook Counselor in Training Program (CIT) is a FREE Training program that prepares teens who are 14 & 15 years old to become future leaders by developing self-esteem, peer relations, interpersonal skills, and leadership techniques. CIT participants will receive training to prepare them to work with adults, peers, and children.
Through a hands on learning experience, CIT's will get the chance to plan and implement camp activities for various age groups. They will also get the chance to learn from our dedicated team of camp staff. CIT’s will help to plan and implement weekly Camp special events.
2026 SESSION DATES:
Session 1: June 22nd - July 10th
Session 2: July 13th – July 31st
Session 3: August 3rd - August 21st - Full
*There is a limit of a maximum of 8 CIT's per session.
CIT's who successfully complete the program can expect to receive:
•Experience you can put on a resume or job application when you are of age to apply for employment.
•Weekly educational/developmental blocks.
•Opportunities to plan and lead activities.
•One Day pre-camp CIT training.
•Certificate of Completion

Step aboard the Indian Princess for a 90-minute scenic riverboat tour of Lake Webster, presented through Merrimack Parks & Recreation. Docked at Indian Ranch, this authentic stern-wheel paddleboat is a modern replica of the grand Mississippi riverboats of the late 1800s—and one of the few true paddlewheel vessels still operating in the U.S.
Enjoy panoramic lake views from the open-air upper deck or relax below in the climate-controlled Princess Dining Room, featuring large viewing windows, a full bar, and modern amenities. This leisurely cruise blends history, comfort, and classic New England scenery for a memorable on-the-water experience.
