

The Town of Merrimack, Parks & Recreation Department is looking to hire some dynamic and energetic staff to work at Camp this summer.
Countless individuals fall in love with the camp experience each summer, and many make it part of their lives year after year.
Campers remember their counselors for many summers and often return because of them. Positions are Mondays - Fridays (no Nights or Weekends) and a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Wasserman Park Tennis Court
Come and join Merrimack Parks and Recreation and learn to play Pickleball for this four day Intro program.
The program is held on the Tennis Courts at Wasserman Park. Advanced registration is required and spaces are limited.
Please bring your own paddle, there are limited loaner paddles available if requested at the Parks and Rec office in advance.

The StarGuard ELITE Lifeguard Certification Course is a comprehensive training program designed to prepare participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. This nationally recognized certification course includes training in life guarding techniques, surveillance and risk prevention, water rescue skills, spinal injury management, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, emergency oxygen administration, and teamwork in emergency situations. StarGuard ELITE utilizes evidence-based training methods and realistic rescue scenarios to develop professional-level lifeguards prepared for real-world aquatic environments.
This course will be offered in a hybrid format. Participants will complete a portion of the course through self-guided online learning modules prior to attending the in-person training sessions. The in-person component will consist of two full days of classroom instruction, hands-on skill practice, water rescue training, and final skill evaluations. All online coursework must be completed before the first in-person class.
Course prerequisites include:
Participants must attend and successfully complete all online modules, in-person training sessions, practical skills evaluations, and written examinations in order to earn certification. Certification is valid for one year through StarGuard ELITE.

We’ll kick off the night with a pizza dinner, giving everyone a chance to fuel up before beginning their official Demon Hunter training. Once energized, participants will jump into a series of exciting themed activities inspired by the world of K-Pop and fantasy heroes.

The Camp Naticook Counselor in Training Program (CIT) is a FREE Training program that prepares teens who are 14 & 15 years old to become future leaders by developing self-esteem, peer relations, interpersonal skills, and leadership techniques. CIT participants will receive training to prepare them to work with adults, peers, and children.
Through a hands on learning experience, CIT's will get the chance to plan and implement camp activities for various age groups. They will also get the chance to learn from our dedicated team of camp staff. CIT’s will help to plan and implement weekly Camp special events.
2026 SESSION DATES:
Session 1: June 22nd - July 10th
Session 2: July 13th – July 31st
Session 3: August 3rd - August 21st - Full
*There is a limit of a maximum of 8 CIT's per session.
CIT's who successfully complete the program can expect to receive:
•Experience you can put on a resume or job application when you are of age to apply for employment.
•Weekly educational/developmental blocks.
•Opportunities to plan and lead activities.
•One Day pre-camp CIT training.
•Certificate of Completion

2026 Garden Fee Scheduled for a 10 ft x 10 ft square plot.
The Merrimack Community Garden is located at 116 Naticook Road in Wasserman Park and is managed by the Parks & Recreation Department. Residents and Non-residents may begin reserving plot(s) on April 1st for the 2026 Season. Interested participants can reserve as many spaces as they wish (assuming available space) and the fees listed below are for each 10 x 10 foot plot.
Returning gardeners have first right of refusal to keep their plots from the previous year. For 2026, most of our gardeners are returning and so we only have a limited number of plots available this year.

Merrimack Parks & Recreation has teamed up with Collette Vacations to offer a special 12-Day Alaska Discovery Land & Cruise, featuring a 7-night Holland America cruise.

Step aboard the Indian Princess for a 90-minute scenic riverboat tour of Lake Webster, presented through Merrimack Parks & Recreation. Docked at Indian Ranch, this authentic stern-wheel paddleboat is a modern replica of the grand Mississippi riverboats of the late 1800s—and one of the few true paddlewheel vessels still operating in the U.S.
Enjoy panoramic lake views from the open-air upper deck or relax below in the climate-controlled Princess Dining Room, featuring large viewing windows, a full bar, and modern amenities. This leisurely cruise blends history, comfort, and classic New England scenery for a memorable on-the-water experience.
